Registered Psychotherapist

Hi, I'm Phe (Fee) / Phenyx. I'm a queer, Chinese-Canadian, Registered Psychotherapist based in London, Ontario.

My priority as a therapist is that you: feel safe, are heard, seen, and accepted as your true self. And it's okay if you're not sure who that is yet, we can explore who you are together!

Origin Story

For me, the passion of helping started as a kid, when I dreamed about saving people as a Superhero! As I grew into the helping profession, this perspective transformed into wanting to help others to help themselves. I believe that everyone has the inner abilities to nourish their own growth and together, we can uncover and optimize these abilities while holding space for healing.

I received my Bachelor of Arts, Double Major Degree in Psychology and Sexuality Studies at Western University and went on to earn my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

My professional experience is twofold -much of this experience is around supporting our LGBTQ2SA+ and racialized communities while also having extensive professional experience providing support and counselling over technology-based platforms and phone-based services.

I'll be rooting for you all the way.

My hope is together, we will journey through an exploratory and empowering process towards healing and gaining the courage and strength for you to be you.

HOW I WORK

My integrative approach is tailored to you, this makes our work flexible and considers your strengths- what works for you and also what doesn't. I like to get a glimpse of all those different aspects of you that have made you, YOU. This helps us explore intersections of your identity and can shed light on some of the struggles you may be encountering. The pacing of our work is entirely up to you and what you feel most comfortable with. My approaches to the healing work we may do are informed by the following therapeutic roots:

Affirmative Therapy

Therapy that affirms, validates, and advocates for sexual minorities and gender diverse folk

Systems-Centered

Together, we will explore and acknowledge the ways systematic oppression has played a part in experiences of disempowerment, marginalization, and trauma

Narrative Approach

Making meaning of past narratives and re-storying these in a way that uplifts and empowers you

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

To achieve inner harmony between the Self and other parts of you that have protective roles but now may be getting in the way of balance

(i.e., people pleaser and dissociative parts)
